Welcome to my website!
I'm Katie Boscombe and I am a multi-disciplinary designer currently working as Digital Equity Instructor helping seniors learn about how to use their technology. I am passionate about combining both art and computer science in any project I work on. Outside of work I enjoy sketching, painting, gaming, and crocheting/knitting.
Previous jobs I have worked on include an indie game with Unreal Engine 5 (Untold Legends LLC, Orisha), website customization, mathematics tutor, teaching computer science 1, and working at a bakery all while achieving a double major in computer science and graphic design with minors in mathematics and Asian studies.
I went to Bridgewater State University for 5.5 years for a BS in Computer Sceince and a BA in Graphic Design. During that time I worked with the CS Dept on campus to help current and future students excell.
In my free time I enjoy playing video games, drawing, crocheting and knitting, reading, nature walks, and spending time with family and friends. I am interested in traveling the world and learning about different cultures and how they can influence my work. I was lucky enough to travel to Japan for almost 2 weeks for a travel course at BSU and feel it influenced me in many ways.
I am currently working as a Digital Equity Instructor helping seniors learn about how to use their technology. I am interested in opportunities that allow me to combine my skills in graphic design and software developemnt. I am currently looking for a full-time job to hit the ground running in the new year!
